Central Belters is a queer fronted karaoke night that has been hosted at the Glad Cafe since November 2024.
Since then, they have hosted a range of themed nights paying homage to several iconic titans of the music industry. We’re talking Bjork, Lady Gaga, Lana Del Rey, as well as their much loved Goofyoke, Films+Musicals special and annual Burns Night Blowouts - Scottish artist’s specials! Since their conception, Central Belters has grown an enthusiastic and beloved fan base, who never fail to delight on the karaoke stage.
Nowhere else in Glasgow can you see strong lesbians arm wrestling off someone’s back whilst they since The Moon Is Blue from the hit film Love Lies Bleeding! A welcoming and supportive audience never fails to ensure that everyone who graces the stage is given their moment of stardom.
