Neuro-Nuttah is a two-hour live documentary rave — a sonic ritual of sound, spirit, and memory. This DJ-led performance will transform Tramway’s T1 into a living archive – a dance floor and ritual space where sound, visuals and storytelling converge. A durational experience, it is at once an archive and an act of reverence, honouring Black queer sonic art-making and the foundational role of Black creativity in global rave cultures.

Inspired by Shy FX’s iconic Original Nuttah, the sets channel its dancefloor energy: frequencies that move bodies, emotions that ignite resistance, and rhythms that encode histories of survival and joy. The term “Neuro” reframes neurodivergence not as pathology but as a source of visionary listening, spiritual insight, and deep sensory presence. Here, rave becomes more than escape—it is embodied knowledge, a way to feel, move, and connect beyond language. Musically, Neuro-Nuttah maps Black innovation across diasporic electronic genres — Jungle, Baile Funk, Jersey Club, Gqom, Bouyon, Batida, Footwork, and more. Each track is paired with fast-cut DIY visuals and live mic commentary, weaving global sounds with local testimonies.

The performance begins with a ritual gesture: artists collectively setting up decks and sound equipment, signaling a transition into shared sonic space. In drawing attention to the ‘behind the scenes’ aspect of performance, it is inferred that this act of labour is as important as the set itself. Artists and DJs will speak on their personal and collective relationships to raving, music, culture and community–offering excerpts of readings, poems, historical fragments, and name-calling—echoing African oral traditions through gesture, sound, and storytelling.

The entire experience is live-recorded, and the use of live-recording and visual display captures movements, reactions, and energies forming an evolving documentary on Black queer art-making and neurodivergent intuition. In this way, the set becomes both subject and archive — a record of presence, resistance, and futurity. The expansive stage is transformed into a communal ground for movement, memory, and sonic resistance.

Neuro-Nuttah is more than a DJ set. It is a metaphysical practice, a memory in motion, and an act of preservation—a celebration of sonic ancestry, collective joy, and Black queer futurity.

COLLECTIF ECHOES are a Black Queer African diasporic electronic dance music collective inspired by the Ghanaian concept of Sankofa—looking back to move forward. Through sound, storytelling, and archiving, we reclaim and honour the Black roots of electronic music while showcasing their influence on emerging genres. Our work bridges past, present, and future, creating immersive experiences that celebrate Black artistry across borders, waters, and time.

Formed by four DJs—Godsfave, dr. MAZZA, SecretLuvvr, & DJ GUREY—we bring distinct sonic identities shaped by migration, heritage, and community. From hard techno and amapiano to jungle, footwork, and acid house, our sets echo shared histories while pushing boundaries. Beyond the dancefloor, we produce a growing digital archive and curate events that educate and connect global audiences to the legacy of Black innovation in music.

COLLECTIF ECHOES has performed across the UK, Europe and Africa, including Diasporas Now UK Tour, The Standard Hotel London, and Mains d’OEuvres Paris, UK Black Pride, and Nyege Nyege Festival 2025 in Uganda with mixes featured on NTS, Foundation FM, and Oroko Radio. Our ethos is rooted in joy, resistance, and cultural preservation—transforming raves into spaces of learning, liberation, and collective memory.
