FESTIVAL 2026 // VENUES & TEch Info

This page is intended to be a useful resource for artists looking to present work in the 2026 Festival, to see what spaces are available which will hopefully spark some ideas. You won’t need to commit to a venue at this point, and we’ll work with you to find one that’s suitable, so don’t worry too much about taking in all this info at this stage.

*****

The 2026 Festival will be primarily based at Tramway in Glasgow’s Southside, as well as at the Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA) and The Vic in the City Centre, and Strangefield in the East End.

We are also extremely open to hearing about any other contexts outside of Tramway & CCA you may wish to show your work in. This could include spaces like:

  • Outdoor performance (on the street)

  • Car parks

  • Libraries

  • In the beautiful local Queens Park (including an amphitheatre in its centre)

  • Church halls

  • Clubs (we’ll be hosting an end of festival party)

  • Cafes

  • Any other ideal contexts you have

We can’t guarantee access to your preferred space, however, we’ll work closely with you to find the most suitable context for your work. Please note that in non-venue spaces, technical support will be very limited and likely without access to power.

We’ll do our very best to support your requirements and present your work at its best. However, please note that BUZZCUT Festival isn’t designed for technically complex theatre shows with numerous cues or high technical demands.

If your work falls into that category, we recommend getting in touch about our separate studio programme, Double Thrills, which may be a better fit.

You should work on the assumption that you would get around 2 hours of technical rehearsal time with a technician, although more time may be available once we are aware of the full production schedule.

You will have regular contact with our Festival production manager who will prep as much as possible for you before you arrive.

All venues are wheelchair accessible and any other venue we source will also be wheelchair accessible.

Tramway, The Vic, Strange Field & CCA have gender neutral toilet facilities.

You can see Tramway’s full access info here.
And CCA’s Access info here.
